⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Chrissie Lloyd is part of the Livvy and Chrissue duo. I am an experienced award-winning Radio Academy Award winning radio presenter and producer who is also a Counsellor and Agony Aunt with 20 years experience. I draw on my life experience and my long-term participation in developmental courses and trainings, including Counselling for Young People and Support of the Dying, as well as my background as a woman working in the Technology industry and changing career in later life, to be an effective counsellor and advisor. I am confident to speak on various subjects including women in Tech, approaching death and dying in a more ordinary and compassionate way, women reclaiming confidence after the child bearing years i.e. Empty Nest syndrome, plus keeping confident as you grow older, and ageism.ExperienceAs a Counsellor and Agony Aunt, I talk to people every day, on the phone, in person or in writing, about their problem or situation, listening to them, sympathising with them and advising them, or suggesting they seek professional help. I encourage them to have confidence and go for what they want, plus I offer practical advice on how to achieve that, and supply or help source practical resources where I can. Typical issues that come up are often related to relationships, including friendships, how to support ill or dying family members, how to listen and support to young people, how to keep or gain confidence, and how to change career and gain new skills. In 2010 I trained and qualified in Radio Production, Social Media and Journalism. In 2009 I completed a Practitioner Training Course in Supporting the Dying with Felicity Warner, who was recently recognised as 2017 End of Life Care Champion by the National Council for Palliative Care and the Royal College of Nursing. I am also trained in Non Violent Communication (NVC) techniques.Prior to that I worked in the Tech industry for 25 years as a computer programmer and systems analyst. As a women working in what is considered a male orientated industry, where logic is considered a male trait, I gained insight into how this affects female confidence and performance.Media ExperienceI have co-presented and produced a music and talk women’s magazine radio show on BBC Radio Bristol for seven and a half years. In 2014 this show won Bronze in the prestigious Radio Academy Awards Best Entertainment category. In 2015 I co‐presented and produced a 13 week series food show featuring Michelin chefs on Made in Bristol TV, that was shown all around the country.I have featured in videos for BBC Get Inspired and BBC Sport Relief and performed in a music track to go alongside it; I have written magazine columns and articles, including a blog for the Huffington Post and presented at awards ceremonies; I co-hosted a live radio show for BBC Radio 4 Food Connections Festival 2015. I recently talked at the Houses of Parliament about women in media; I featured on the West Country Politics Show talking about women and pensions; I have given a presentation at the Soundwomen Future Festival at New Broadcasting House in London on women of a certain age and media; and I have been on the BBC National News talking about women of a certain age and fashion.I have interviewed many famous musicians, celebrities and inspiring people.
